ALKALINE ZINC

Alkaline zinc produces bright and even thickness deposits. Higher production output as jigging spacing are significantly reduced, thus increases in high bath loading.

ZN 436 ALKALINE NON CYANIDE ZINC PLATING PROCESS

Physical Properties:
ZN 436A: Liquid
ZN 436B: Liquid
ZN 436C: Liquid
ZN 436D: Liquid

Description

ZN 436 is an alkaline non-cyanide plating process for rack and barrel plating. It operates over a wide zinc metal range of 8 ~ 20 g/l.

ZN 436 produces bright deposits over the total current density and temperature ranges up to 45°C.

It has excellent covering and throwing power and is especially good for parts with deep recesses area. ZN 436 plated parts can easily be chromated and passivated in all kinds of chromates.

Equipment

Tanks: Steel rubber or PVC lined
Exhaust: Is recommended
Filtration: To avoid roughness of deposits, continuous filtration is recommended
Agitation: Cathode agitation of 3 ~ 5 m/min. Low air agitation is also possible

ZN 438 ALKALINE NON CYANIDE ZINC PROCESS

Physical Properties:
ZN 438A: Liquid
ZN 438B: Liquid
ZN 438C: Liquid
ZN 438D: Liquid

Description

The ZN 438 process is a non-cyanide plating system for rack and barrel plating. ZN 438 produces uniform bright and fine-grained deposits with excellent uniform thickness distributions over the total current density and temperature ranges up to 35°C.

Since iron poses no problem in the solution, all equipment from regular cyanide zinc plating can be used for the process. Zinc-plated parts can easily be chromated and passivated. Zinc deposits achieved in ZN 438 process are extremely ductile. This process has special applications for parts which must be later on bent, formed or welded.
